TerraVerde works with municipal entities like school districts and city governments to help them design and build renewable energy projects.  It really works!  During our 7 years in business, we've managed over $300M in solar projects that generate very significant clean energy for Californians and cost savings for our customers.

Software modeling is at the heart of our business.  A municipality must have reliable, 3rd party financial projections to move forward with a large renewable energy project.  The modeling for these projects is extremely challenging.  It involves understanding complex utility rate rules and modeling complicated projects that span many physical sites to design optimal systems for our customers and accurately forecast savings.

Until recently we've done our modeling in Excel but the rules have become too complex, and the projects too big, for that platform.  So this year we launched a modeling effort based on python & Django to improve and expand our capability.

TerraVerde is an independent energy advisor representing school districts, public agencies, and commercial enterprises. We help customers reduce energy use and costs by planning, designing and implementing energy conservation measures, solar energy systems, and energy storage solutions. Our Asset Management Services ensure renewable energy assets are maintained to provide optimum performance and maximum cost savings.
