We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UI Developer Consultant to join our dynamic team. As a Frontend React.js Developer, you will be responsible for developing web interfaces, conducting user testing and troubleshooting, resolving and tracking product issues, and implementing new user-facing features using React.js (v18+) and Material UI (v5+). Your role will involve building reusable components and front-end libraries to ensure scalability and efficiency, while also translating designs and wireframes into high-quality, performant code. This role will entail responsibilities related to UX design aimed at enhancing the visual interactive aspects of our websites.

We value candidates who are hungry to learn and grow with our organization. If you have a passion for front-end development, a drive to continually improve your skills, and an eagerness to be part of a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply. We are committed to fostering a learning environment and are willing to provide mentorship and training to the right candidate who shares our hunger for excellence.

This is a remote long-term consulting opportunity; however, we strongly prefer candidates residing on the East Coast.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop web interfaces, conduct user testing, and troubleshoot issues to deliver a seamless user experience.

  • Implement new user-facing features using React.js (v18+) and Material UI (v5+).

  • Create reusable components and front-end libraries for future use and maintain a clean and organized codebase.

  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, pixel-perfect code, paying attention to details and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

  • Enhance the operating efficiency of existing programs through optimizations, revisions, or expansions.

  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.

  • Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure the website functions properly across different devices and browsers.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in front-end web development, with a strong focus on React.js.

  • 1-2 years of experience in UI development, creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with JavaScript/TypeScript fluency using React.

  • Solid experience with React and its core principles, demonstrating expertise in building complex and interactive applications.

  • Familiarity with interacting with RESTful Web Services, Web APIs, and microservices to integrate frontend with backend functionalities.

  • Exposure to common front-end development tools such as Vite, NPM, etc.

  • Experience with popular design frameworks like MUI, Tailwind, Chakra, etc., and the ability to leverage them effectively.

  • Strong understanding of version control systems, preferably Git, to collaborate with the development team efficiently.

  • Ability to work during Eastern Standard Time hours (9 am to 5 pm).

  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and deadline-driven work environment.

  • Hunger for learning and a strong desire to improve skills and grow with us.

Preferred Skills:

  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization, continuously seeking ways to improve application performance.

  • Experience with Material UI (v5+) to enhance the UI design and user experience.

  • Experience with Adobe AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) for seamless content management and integration.
