We are seeking a React Developer with a proven track record of developing and maintaining applications to join our team-focused, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. The selected candidate will work as a member of an Agile Software Development Team to help implement new functionality based on business requirements. The candidate must have full-stack web development experience and experience with React, Node, Typescript, and non-relational databases. On any given day, the selected applicant may be asked to: • Develop and maintain React applications. • Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet the business needs of customers. • Demonstrates a strong desire to learn new technologies, to become efficient in their field, and the willingness and confidence to develop safety-class, mission-critical software. • Work with customers, product owners and end users to understand business needs. • Identify and address productivity impediments and promote work process improvements. This position will be filled at either the Software Developer 3 o4 4 level, depending on the skills and experience of the selected candidate. Software Developer 3 ($96,100 - $159,000) Software Developer 4 ($105,700 - $176,400) What You Need Minimum Job Requirements: • Experience designing, developing, modifying, testing, and debugging web applications using modern frameworks using the following: o Typescript o React & React Testing Library / Enzyme • Working within Scrum or some other Agile framework • Testing of applications through unit and integration tests and following CI/CD processes • Proven software lifecycle knowledge and experience in all phases, including requirements, design, development, and testing with appropriate documentation Education/Experience at lower level: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 8 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be desirable. Education/Experience at higher level: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected Desired Qualifications: • Experience working with Agile (Scrum) methodologies and continues integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) • Strong experience with automated testing especially testing modern front-end frameworks • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment with the ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally within and outside of the group. In addition, you must have effective interpersonal skills for communicating technical information, building relationships, and resolving conflicts Location: This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM. with the potential for teleworking from a location within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite will be periodically required. Telework is at the discretion of management and can change at anytime with appropriate notice. Additional Details Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances. *Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
